Point Bay Marina Haulout - 2014

October 18, 2014-  Point Bay Marina, Charlotte Vermont

Marc-  Another warm weekend to come and work on winter prep for Lucy III.  The boat was hauled out by Ray and his crew and placed near the main entrance to the marina.  It is conveniently located near a power pole for electrical service.  John and Mindy came over to help me lower the mizzen mast for use as a ridge pole.  It works really well since the mizzen mast is 20 feet long and so is the distance from the mainmast to the davits.  I have made up a  wooden ridge pole for the foredeck and provided lateral supports to stabilize the rig.  Unfortunately I ran out of time and the boat remains mostly uncovered.
