18 January 2023, Southern Camping Day 13

 Tomoka State Park

Ormond Beach, Florida

Local inhabitants.

Marc-  I did an early morning jog around the campground this morning.  I am slowly increasing my distance every other day.  Sue and I later took our walking poles and walked the length of the Park and discovered a new area to explore on the Western shore.  Weather was terrific with temperature 73 degrees and sunshine.  We spent some time shopping in Ormond Beach and then set off to see the ruins of a nearby Plantation.  Unfortunately the Plantation Ruins were closed today.  We'll have to go back next time we're here.  We drove through a vast area of expensive new single family homes built on the plantation lands.  The highlight was seeing two deer pass near us in an area of live oak trees.

Sue caught this Cardinal pecking away at its own image and it make quite a noise.

Sue has an i-phone App. called "Merlin" that identifies all of the birds that we here during our daily walks.

No shiny rear view mirrors on our rig.
