CODA : At a Vero Beach mooring day 2.
16 January 2025
Vero Beach Municipal Marina, Vero Beach, Florida
Marc- We have completed our second day here in a very welcoming port. Even the birds seem friendlier here. There are a large group of sailors at the moorings and the docks. Most seem to be in transit while others are here for the winter. My cousin Armand and his daughter Michelle came over and took us for lunch at C.J. Cannon's at the airport. We were by a runway, we were inside (therefore warm) and it was a nice place. It's a big airport, and there is a Piper airplane factory on the grounds. Then they took us to Walmart where we bought 3 large cases of bottled water and more seltzer. I replaced the fan that caught fire with a Caframo fan made in Canada. This one seems much more robust than the Chinese knockoff that had aluminum wiring and poor insulation.
We are awaiting a D-tops sticker from the US Customs and Border Patrol to enable re-entry after our upcoming visit to the Bahamas. I ordered it 1/3/25 online to be delivered at Armand's address. It was supposed to take 4-5 days to get here... We will wait one more day here for the mail.
