CODA BAHAMAS BOUND 2025 (8)

CODA :  Still at a Vero Beach mooring day 3.

17 January 2025

Vero Beach Municipal Marina, Vero Beach, Florida

Sailing under these bridges is always an act of faith (Cocoa Beach).

Marc-  We are still enjoying Vero.  We have been getting together with my Cousin Armand and his family and friends.  Today we went over to the Cravings Ice Cream shop and discussed doing half-marathons and marathons (Sue and I have done neither).  Michael and his friend TJ are big runners and are doing the Vero Beach Half Marathon this Sunday.  It will start near the marina.  TJ was at Disney last week and did a half marathon one day and a full marathon the next day.  We have also been walking around the town taking it all in and doing some boat repair projects.

A Vero version of the many Little Free Libraries we have seen in the last few years.

Beautiful bougainvillea

Pretty petunias

I could not help but pose with this guy.

Three of these people are marathon runners.

Sue caught this cat sticker in a window. Catchy.

Sue:  Vero Beach is very nice.  I would like to live here in the Winter (in a house, with a car).  Or I would like to live in Ft. Myers or Bonita Springs (in a house, with a car).  All of these places have everything you could need, plus family, friends and quilt stores.  The walking is great - all flat!  It still is not warm.  I wore the down jacket most of the day, despite the alleged high temperature of 65.  It does not feel that warm at all.  I'm not complaining, I'd rather have this weather than real hot weather.  I cannot stand the heat.

We have binged the new season of All Creatures Great and Small already.  It was wonderful.

We'll be leaving tomorrow, whether the D-tops sticker comes or not.

Gee Marc, maybe you and I should start training to run a marathon. We could start off by doing a hundred yards, I might be able to handle that.....
