Our adventure vehicle (Michael's Fiddler's Green) towing our zodiac

Marc-  Today was a bit of a different boating adventure for us.  We hopped aboard Fiddler's Green to go back to explore Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park at Key Biscayne and to meet up with friends Carol and George.  No trouble in getting there although we passed by an unmarked sunken boat easily seen in the crystal clear waters here.  In fact the clarity is a major asset since you can clearly identify the reefs by the changes in color.  We found a dock to tie up to and then set off to explore on foot.  Sue and I walked down to the Southern tip near the Cape Florida Lighthouse and followed the Western shore back also seeing Stiltsville (a group of wood stilt houses located one mile south of Cape Florida, on sand banks in Biscayne National Park).

We had lunch with Michael, Carol and George at No Name Harbor Restaurant.  Michael took Carol and George out for a boat tour while Sue and I did more walking in the park.

Our return to Dinner Key was a bit rough as we bashed into waves created by 20 knot West winds with a 5 mile fetch.  We went ashore to walk, to find the Pan Am terminal (more about that below), and to find a grocery store.  We found more parks, and they were beautiful.  Also a very nice grocery store.  We returned to dinner on board our boats.  The waters here at Dinner Key are well protected from West winds.
