Pretty butterfly enjoying life in Marathon.

Spring flowers are out.

Marc-  We have not done much except our daily walks and the daily NY Times Crossword puzzle.  I have been working for days on the preparation for the new Dometic AC unit.  It arrived today and Michael assisted in a long day to do the installation.  When we flipped the breaker on it tripped.  It may be because we are using a GFCI breaker.  I will recheck the wiring tomorrow.

This week we have been trying to get the Covid-19 vaccine here in Florida.  The State has changed the parameters to include 50 plus year old residents (snow birds included) with a medical condition certified by their physician.  I obtained such a letter and completed physician State form.  The sign-up period started at 7:00 am Wednesday morning over the Publix website.  Sue and I had three devices going, and none of them got us a "book now" offer of an appointment.  We waited, waited, and waited some more as we saw the status of appointments slowly change over to "fully booked" in county after county.  The next chance to try at Publix is tomorrow.  Michael had better luck:  after about 15 minutes, he got the "book now" lucky button and was offered an appointment in Miami tomorrow.  He will be asked to show proof of Florida residence. The rules allow snowbirds to be considered residents with a lease agreement and electric bill and we have these documents from our marinas.  Sue will be eligible for the vaccine by age on March 17.  She has another option for getting it, which is under the Federal rules at CVS (so they don't yet allow for anyone under age 65 - like Marc - to get the vaccine).  She found available appointments at the CVS in Homestead on 3/6 or 3/9, but they are too soon.
