Marc-   At 08:30 we said good bye to our dockmates / Marathon friends, slipped our lines and off we went out of Boot Key Harbor.  We have really grown to appreciate our boat neighbors at Sombrero Marina as well as the friendly people of Marathon.  We motorsailed West to pass through the 65 foot section of the 7 mile Bridge at Moser Channel before turning East to head up Florida Bay towards Miami.  We met up with Michael aboard Fiddler's Green two hours after our initial departure.  We then headed East together with Fiddler's Green at the advance party scouting out the deepest water ahead.  It was an excellent day ending with picking up free moorings courtesy of Indian Key State Park.  Sue and I were really excited that our new air conditioner is able to operate off of our generator.

We were treated by Michael to a visit to the Bayside Marina, the Worldwide Sportsman Store, and a beer from the local brewery.
