Marc-  We started out with our morning walk in the park and the scenery continues to amaze us.

Our travels brought us to the Daytona International Motor Speedway and its Hall of Fame Auto Museum. This place is impressive with the facility under the racetrack grandstands filled with actual race cars in drive ready condition.  There are the race cars, and history on their drivers, that we grew up with in the 60's and 70's.  The cars and drivers are carried right up to last year's Daytona 500 winner.  You can also get behind the wheel of the car that won in 2021.  The 2022 winning car, a Ford Mustang, is also present but not open for inspection.  We did enjoy ourselves.

One of many displays.  Note the high banked curve.

My cousin Armand Langevin may have driven one of these in his racing days.

No driving for me but getting behind the wheel is something.

We drove over to Daytona Beach to check out the beach and its boardwalk as well as a few shops.

Beachgoers present today with 80 degrees and sunshine.

Daytona Beach Clock Tower made of coquina shells.

Damaged boardwalk from hurricanes Ian and Nicole.

This is as close to a race car as we will own.

Is the tower of coquina shells or coquina rock?
