Sailing South aboard Lucy III: 2020-21 (Part IV - North)

Point Bay Marina Moorings, Thompson's Point, Charlotte, Vermont:  June 16, 2021

And here we are having lunch under the big tent back in the old yacht club with the new name.

Marc-  Today I made crepes for Steph and I on Lucy III.  We are doing some delayed maintenance items that need attention now.  First was the completion of the installation of the new automatic bilge pump float switch.  It had a temporary installation that was sure to fail soon and it did.  The switch had been jury rigged with silicone bands and wire ties holding it in place and they no longer held.  The switch is now wire-tied in place.  Second was a clean up of the hull especially at the waterline.  Third was the installation of a new marine radio and CD player in the cockpit with waterproof speakers.  We also spent time helping our friends John and Mindy get their mainsail set on Coquina (a beautiful Cabo-Rico 38) and Steph went up in the Bosun's chair to fix some rigging issue at the main starboard spreader.  We also got to spend time playing with Dashiell.  The weather has been fantastic.

Will Patten also welcomed us back from our trip to the South.  We are looking forward to seeing more boating friends at the Club breakfast on Saturday.

More to follow before going home this weekend.
