Marc-  Our last day in Okeechobee was mostly taking care of chores and getting ready for the move.  It was only a 2 hour trip to Ft. Myers and we made a stop at a beautiful park along the Caloosahatchee River in LaBelle, Florida.  Soon after we crossed the Route 27 drawbridge it opened for a very large powerboat.  The LaBelle Park is next to the drawbridge and has two new town marinas.  This town got the message that inviting boaters to stop here is good for local businesses.  A food truck was busy cooking lunch for people in a large smoker nearby.

LaBelle drawbridge

These two boats were anchored across from the park since the marina is still in construction.  It looks like the sailboat's anchor dragged.

Beautiful bronze statue in the park.

Our new campsite is down this street on the right.

Our rig looks tiny in this place.

This is one big and fancy rig here at Cypress Trails Campground.

Entrance to the swimming pool, laundry and library.
