20 February 2023, Southern Camping Trip Day 46

 Orlando Southwest KOA Campground

Davenport, Florida

Port Orleans is a Disney resort complex at Disney Springs.

Marc-  We spent the day at Disney's best value experience.  Easy to say when the admission is free since this part of Disney is mostly a retail venue with extensive hotels and waterways.   There was only light traffic to get to Disney this morning.  There is security screening to enter the venue.  Once inside we decided to spend some time at the Splitsville bowling alley.  It was great fun with Sue winning overall despite my getting 3 strikes.  We walked about the many shops and restaurants (there are over 100 shops, 65 restaurants and 20 entertainment sites).   Finally we took a ferry to explore the Port Orleans Resort.  The 20 minute ferry trip took us to a New Orleans French Quarter influenced resort.  Many decorations portray the Mardi Gras parade that takes place on the first Tuesday of Lent.  An impressive hour long parade is planned for tomorrow.  Unfortunately we will not be able to attend.

It has been a log time since I've tried this.

Sue made me part of a post card.

Final thought for the day as we both signed up for Weight Watchers today.
