Marc-  We made an early departure (06:30) from Bucksport in order to get favorable current and we motorsailed all the way to Little River.  We had hoped to stop at the Barefoot Marina where we have friends, John and Peggy Brewster, living in the Barefoot development. Barefoot declined our request for a slip so off we went to the Myrtle Beach Yacht Club.  This is a very nice facility where we were treated well at reasonable cost.  They have an excellent restaurant on site where we met up with friends Craig and Donna Lewis from Vermont (now living in Myrtle Beach).

Craig & Donna did the trip from Lake Champlain to Marathon in their Mainship 40 for many years and wrote a great blog.  They are an incredible resource and inspiration for novices like us.

We had a great dinner with Peggy & John.  Peggy & Sue worked together for quite a few years.  They moved to North Myrtle Beach (NMB) from Medford, MA 4 years ago, after vacationing in NMB for many years.  They love it here.
