CODA : Enjoying my real Birthday in the Exuma Islands, Bahamas.

Am I happy or what?
Marc- Well Sue was very nice for my actual birthday with a special breakfast and then lunch at the St. Francis Resort. Our adventure today was to go to Blue Hole #0 and snorkel with the fish. The "mystery cave" is the exit of an underwater cave that starts out about two miles in the ocean. Numerous fish hang in the water column at the cave entrance. It is dangerous to go into the cave itself as it slopes down to 90 foot depth. Flood tide makes a tidal current pulling you down and may impede return. It is strongly suggested to use lights, and trail a line from the surface to follow back. None of this matters to us since we were just staying on the surface and looking down at the fish. In fact I went in not sure I would be able to climb back into the dinghy easily. I can confirm that it was difficult to climb back in given the size of the dinghy's air chambers. We rigged a sort of rope step to help.
The 2 red and white striped flags where Blue Hole is labelled is the location of the "Mystery Cave".
Sargent major and yellow fin fish.
We visited the Chat 'N' Chill beach area to see what was going on. There were kids feeding the stingrays by hand and gently touching them on the tops of their heads.
Friendly stingrays.
Conch shell pile at Chat 'N' Chill.
Enjoy the ambiance of the Chat 'N' Chill Beach. The area is a local gathering place for boaters and boater events from volleyball to dance.
View from our table at the St. Francis Restaurant.
And then another sunset.

Bon Anniversaire, Marc!
I know the lack of an ice cream shop is weighing on you, Marc! Patience! Your day will come!
