Marc- Last night was a long one. At around 2 am, Coda's anchor decided to drag so as to place us near another sailboat. I checked the Anchor alarm and yes we had moved about 90 feet and I had set the ring at 100 feet. What to do? It became clear that the anchor had reset itself at least this is what the computer screen indicated. I decided to wait till morning light to make any changes. Unfortunately that decision kept me getting up to check the boat's position more times than I care to mention. Everything looked better in the morning light, and with a wind shift boat separation didn't look so bad. We ate breakfast before pulling up the anchor and moving over to the middle anchorage. With light winds expected, this location would give us good access to the Georgetown Village shops, as well as Sand Dollar Beach.
We took the dinghy over to town for a few things at the market and to refill some water and diesel Jerry cans. The deluge hit as a dark green cloud came over the town. I suggested to Sue that we head over to the bar to wait out the rain. That strategy was excellent and gave us time to have a cold drink. I am not quite sure about green rain clouds here in the Exumas. Does it have nothing to do with the extraordinary color of the water? Perhaps some sort of light refection?
We came back to Coda for lunch and a few maintenance items (they never end). Then on our way over to Sand Dollar Beach we crossed over a really cool coral reef so we stooped to investigate. I took some photos but we will definitely come back. Once ashore, we proceeded to walk over to the National Park to walk the beach and try a new forested trail. Both were excellent. It was low tide and easy to see underwater life at the edge. We were surprised to see small live conch living near the water's edge.
The green cloud approaching.
Passing Coda's big sister: Cabo Rico 56.
We passed over a small but vibrant reef on the way to the beach and had to stop to look around.
The best shot.
We like to tie up to the Australian Pine trees that seem to thrive even with the beach environment.
Sand Dollar Beach ends here.
Conch living at the low tide zone in the Park.
More conch.
Passing by a poison wood tree on one of the forest trails. Apparently if you touch this tree you get a poison ivy-like reaction. No thanks.
Great sunset tonight

Livin' the Life!!!!
Snorkling great!
You need a 9.9 hp so you can get up on plane and get to town faster! We went with a 6 up and traded for a 9.9 from another cruiser....what a difference and we stayed dry up on plane! Lol
I can only imagine. But we do go quite a bit faster than the electric outboards and the 3.5 hp ones too!
