We found Snoopy sleeping on the job at Stock Island Marina.

Where do we go from here?

Marc-  Today started with an early breakfast with Michael and Doreen at the 7 Mile Grill next to a fishing boat docking area here in Marathon.  The plan was to leave after breakfast and go to the West Marine at Stock Island to pick up a new air conditioning unit.  Unfortunately I had them hold the wrong unit such that the correct unit will have to be ordered and delivered to the Marathon store in two days (that is the plan anyway).  We decided to spend the day exploring Key West.  We started with the Zachary Taylor State Park.  The Park consists of the defensive fortifications and the beach area.  We started by touring the old fort.  The beach area was very nice with beautiful turquoise water, a cooling on shore breeze, and a sandy beach on the edge of a forested area with many picnic tables, grills (even a few tiki huts) and a snack bar.

We later enjoyed a meal at the Schooner Wharf Pub outdoors and walked around downtown.  I especially liked the conch chowder.

Ft. Zachary Taylor State Park beach.

Great colors.

Interesting roots but not sure of the tree.

Beautiful trees unfortunately most of the mahogany forest in Florida have been cut down.

View of the harbor from Mallory Square - Key West.

The salvagers were also saviors for some.

A famous Key West Lady.

A Pilot boat but no Cruise Ships to guide into port during these Covid-19 times.
