Poppies at Brookgreen Gardens.
Marc- Heavy rain this afternoon so we are just sticking to the camper. Time for reading and maybe watching a movie. This morning was fine and we headed over to walk among the flowers and the sculptures at Brookgreen Gardens. Lots of blooming flowers and some new to us works of art. We ended our visit by attending a movie on the casting process for Rodin's massive bronze sculpture: "The Gates of Hell." This was his greatest work, and when he died in 1917 it had not been cast, and it was not cast until 1980. The movie was a documentary about the massive project of casting this 20 foot high 8 ton structure.
