Jekyll Island Campground
Jekyll Island State Park
Jekyll Island, Georgia
Marc- Today was our day to play tennis on the famous clay courts here. The courts are in excellent shape despite the Georgia State tournament that took place over the weekend. Sue won 2 sets to 1.
Later in the day we met up with friends, Kay & Jeff from Vermont, who arrived at the campground today, beginning their stay here. We had a nice visit and they pointed out the campground bird sanctuary to us. It was great! Lots of bird and hummingbird feeders. We saw several cardinals, woodpeckers and chickadees.
We leave for Huntington Beach State Park in South Carolina in the morning.
Great vegetation (Crimson Bottlebrush tree) at this State Park tennis facility (15 courts).
Excellent facility.
